A step back in time

In going thru photos in my collection I ran across this one I had a friend take of us comparing time.
Left to right are; Dave Stimac - Road foreman of engines, Bob Krieger - Engineer, and Reed Jackson - Conductor.
Comparing time was always a regular proceedure and usually done first with the station standard clock.
Then later the engineer and conductor would compare time before departing and if the road foreman was riding along he would do the same.
So here is the depiction of the ages old comparison of time.

Ahhhhhhhh, the Robert Hall suites and a steam locomotive.   Timeless.

Not only is the comparing of watches a dying art, but the ability to read a traditional clock face is becoming a lost skill in the younger generation:
