The Slim Princess Goes for a Jog

SP 18 was out this afternoon limbering up her new cylinder and piston. 

1) Scooting along CO 550 near the former Gliderport
2 & 3) Coming and going along the ever-popular Animas River Trail. These shots were taken from the balcony on the second floor of the Durango Public Library. Is there another library out there with a better view?

Is this ground water out there,must be quiet the Aquifer.Great to see this little loco back in action.

Great to see her running again.  For years on ski trips to Mammoth I had to stop and look at her when on display in Independence.

I'm still waiting to see a photo of this engine next to a regular DRG&W narrow gauge engine for comparison.

There is a lot of water in the Owens, sadly a good portion of it goes in the pipes to La La Land. The Valley used to support a vast amount of agriculture until the farmers lost the battle with Mr Mulholland in 1913.
