This appears to be a photo taken in July of 1947 by a photographer named Birney. This shot came from the Nolan Black collection. It's either the same photo, or a nearly identical one except for the cropping. In photo one, in the background is a silver cylinder supported on angled-legs. In photo two, one of those legs is visible, much closer to the loco —- the leg didn’t, the photographer, did.
