Steam & Excursion > God Bless America....and Steam!Date: 09/02/19 18:48 God Bless America....and Steam! Author: LJGross The Durango and Silverton likes to commemorate national holidays by having the trains fly the American flag. I'm sure the T.O. purists will boject to the non-prototypical practice, but personally I think it is pretty great. K36 486 heads for home down the Animas Valley on a beautiful Labor Day afternoon. The capacity crowd on board looked like they were having a great time.
Happy Labor Day, all! LJ Gross Date: 09/02/19 19:27 Re: God Bless America....and Steam! Author: Crabbshell Fantastic go USA

Grande did similar things years past. Out Date: 09/02/19 19:57 Re: God Bless America....and Steam! Author: atsf121 I always like it when flags are flying on steam engines! Makes the holiday that much better.
