Great photo! Do you by chance have any of 6136?

First-class image. You can tell it is Toronto by the Royal York Hotel in the background.

Hmmmm, compared to CN 4320 (in a nearby thread), 6264 looks presentable.... very much so, even with the grimy tender, she appears ready to head up a first class passenger train.

The Canadian National Railways 4-8-4s are among my favorite steam locomotives.  This is a wonderful photo.  Thanks for sharing.

Was this one built by ALCO in the US, or Montreal Lovomotive Works?

6264 was the last 4-8-4 built.  I rode the 6262 cab on a Londoon to Sarnia track.. I have the number plate for 6262

CNR 4-8-4s are great looking locomotives. Great balance with the Vanderbilt tender.  Fine photo.

Those White Wall tires really MAKE that class of engines both CP & CN used WW  very often ...on all sorts of engines..

For today’s folks with kids, born in the last 50 years....WWs are a way to visually emphasize the large size if the drivers...
& with grimy, black and invisible wheels...there’s no drama; the engines look like a solid black-mass mess...
