Steam & Excursion > UP4014-Provo Sunset & New PlaqueDate: 10/03/19 21:50 UP4014-Provo Sunset & New Plaque Author: Odyssey I'm hoping to follow the UP4014 on its meanderings between Provo and Caliente, NV. Caught the sunset with
the 4014 "parked" in the UP yard in Provo. Access was limited plus the location sort of "sucked" for photography, but you get what ya pay for and I paid nada! More importantly, there is a new commemorative plaque on the tender recognizing the importance of the Rail Giants Museum and Historical Society for preserving the 4014. I do not know when the plaque was added ... there has been no mention of the plaque here on TrainOrders to my "limited" knowledge ... 3 images: 1) UP#4014 with sunset glint 2) New plaque on tender 3) Plaque detail Just posting what's out there ... Thanks for looking! Odyssey Evergreen, CO Date: 10/03/19 22:57 Re: UP4014-Provo Sunset & New Plaque Author: 4451Puff What a nice gesture of Unionpacific........

No, the current tender 4014 is using, came from 3985 as it was already converted to oil burning and had also been overhauled. And I'm willing to bet money that 3985's "old" tender is going to stay with 4014. They don't need to do anything to the tender from 4014 since there's nothing to put it behind. When they "give away" 3985, or what's left of it, it would surely require a tender, wouldn't it? Date: 09/14/21 14:09 Re: UP4014-Provo Sunset & New Plaque Author: switchlock DRGW5502 Wrote:
