I'm 55 too and never experienced this. My best was growing up in Pleasanton. Ca. watching the final 4 WP F7s go through town daily leading San Jose turn in the afternoon. Another great experience!!

I was just west at Beaumont Road in Loma Linda, there were a good number of folks there, and I could see a big bunch of cars east of me at STC canyon Road crossing, and think they opened up the throttle a bit more, after passing that crowd, plus they departed Bloomington a bit late, it was probably safer to open it up and make time after that point.
