It has been excellent to see all the photos of 4014 over the past few days.  Looks like it UP ran a class act all the way - down to the rear car and drumhead.

Nice shots! I was on the n/w corner down there on the cement platform, you must have been one of the folks I saw up on the highway bridge? By the time I got there, it felt real hot to me, called it a day!

I can't believe how much sand the 4014 used while passing thru Palm Springs--it's everywhere--must be a steep grade I can't see!
