Steamtown's excursion to the Delaware Water Gap (PA)
Author: Pattenburg

On Saturday Steamtown ran an excursion from Scranton to the Delaware Water Gap. This train was scheduled to depart from Scranton around 9 AM with DL 405 (ALCO C420) and NKP 514 (EMD GP9) as motive power for this six car consist that was sold out. The first image was taken as it passed by Morgan Advanced Materials facility and was approaching Mill Creek Road's grade crossing in East Stroudsburg around noon. That second image shows DL 405 and NKP 514 passing through River Road's grade crossing adjacent to Minisink Park in East Stroudsburg. A short video was taken of the train at this location.

I thought that Steamtown is in the process of restoring Boston & Maine 3713, a Pacific.

Steamtown has been working on 3713's restoration for about 20 years. Excerpt From the National Park Service Steamtown web site:
"...The management team at Steamtown NHS made a decision to restore Boston & Maine 3713 to operation. Work began in the late 1990s through a partnership with the Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway Historical Society. The partnership involved two aspects: The Society raises funds and awareness of the project, while the National Park Service developed the Scope of Work. Over time, terms of the partnership changed. Recently, the Society's team of contractors resumed the work to restore both the engine and its tender. Most of the replacement materials for the firebox and boiler are purchased. Many of the locomotive's parts require not much more than cleaning or minor repairs..."

Please help me make sense out of this nonsensical collection of words ....
I presume you’re talking about a rendezvous related to train chasing.
