Well gang, Hotwater, Don, Ross and Fitz, Tanner and I have been invited into the cab on Saturday. I'll try to capture for you, the best I can, the feel of the day while paying attention and staying out of the way!

Well.....You and Tanner have a GREAT time.  We will be following you and BB from Gore thru Wagoner.

Have a wonderful time. Remember the 2 Cardinal rules on a steam locomotive. Rule 1.  When in doubt stop.  Rule 2. What happens on the engine STAYS on the engine. 

   Take lots of photos.

I enjoy ALCO built locomotives also, especially a certain PA in Portland, OR and the UP 844 and 3985.

Mike, don't to forget to pay attention to the boiler pressure, if you are riding and not just visiting the cab.

Are we talking "THE CAB"?

Got a few goals to try and achieve. I’ll try and get creative. First priority is of course to not to push it and maintain edict and full respect. We will see how it goes. Got HD and 4K equipment ready to go! I have been talking about it on TV...but publicity dosn't appear to be a problem! Weather will be perfect!

Well of course, not going hard, not up hill, pulling a light consist, diesel pushing, plus the engineer knew you guys where coming. What was the Johnson bar and throttles set at?

Any further commentary? There’s a great Razorback video posted. Engine appears to be working hard and at speed. Fantastic stuff.

You must have been watching a different video than the one I watched, as there was no indication from any of the exhaust sounds that I heard that the 4014 was "working hard", nor "at speed", as all the run-bys were all well below 50 MPH.
