The G.C. 539 went across the diamond on with BNSF 5877 leading at Calwa, Fresno at 09:20am.  Unknown as to departure time.

539 has now made its way into BNSF’s Stockton, CA. Mormon yard. Hope to catch it sometime tomorrow before it departs further northward.

It's going to it's own indoor climate controlled display building at the grain elevator complex in Kalama, WA.

Should be in Oregon by now. I’ve been looking at photos of the 539 over the years on line. And I am curious if the main and connecting rods for this locomotive are still out there. Looks like they’ve been off a long time. We’re they on when it was on display in Esther Short Park in Vancouver?

the 539 / 1762 was purchased from Grand Canyon by the Port of Kalama
