Steam & Excursion > AT&SF 2926 Tool Car

Here is the former AT&SF 3939 baggage car that will be the tool car for restored steam locomotive AT&SF 2926.  Seen in the Albuquerque yard today, March 21, 2020

So...3939 made it to Abq. Great!
Hope NMSL can get a yard switcher to move it up to the secure 2926 rebuild  site before the local graffiti geeks spot it, about a mile to the former Sawmill District, Abq's first industrial center, near Old Town.

Glad to see it's almost "home" - congrats to the whole 2926 crew! 

That right door looks a little funky...

At some point it will make its way to the 2926 location but because of the Gov's order, in New Mexico no group greater than five is allowed to assemble and the non-essential 2926 site is closed until the virus crisis is over.

Looks like NMSL3939 is sitting on what was the old caboose track in the Abq yard when I summer-switched there in the '60s.

An open door pic just snapped there showed the car's clean, hardwood floor in excellent shape, with shelving and some sort of moveable metal unloading ramp?  inside.
