611 on Linden Hill

By request, here is my footage from the morning June 5, 2016 run of N&W Class J 4-8-4 #611 leading NS excursion train 958 west up over the Blue Ridge on Linden Hill on the B-line in Virginia.

Thanks - always good stack talk at that location with the locomotive working but this trip was unusual with the slipping.  As I recall they had to stop near the bottom of the hill because the defect detector went off for dragging equipment.  Taking on the hill with no running start on rails that were wet from earlier rain/mist was pretty exciting. Kinda makes me sad to think no more excursions like this again but never say never.

I rode the afternoon trip that day and there was a train festival in Manassas I went to
on Saturday.  Liked the vidio
hollywood

Awesome video of the 611.  Really loved your choice of fixed tripod, and allowing the video camera do all the work.  Thank you for taking the time to share your work with us.
