๐†๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ๐ฌ! The State of Colorado may allow scenic railroads to open for operation as early as this upcoming weekend. We hope to know by late Thursday. Our staff has been working extra hard to prepare the locomotives, cars and facilities for the upcoming season. Our trains will feature all open air cars at the start of the season so you may enjoy lots of extra space, sunshine and the We are politely requesting that guests wear face masks and follow social distancing requirements. Face masks will be available for purchase for the nominal cost of $1.00 if you don't already have one. Thank you for your assistance. Please stay tuned for final confirmation of our opening day. It will be announced here and on our website: www.georgetownlooprr.com. We are excited and ready to go!

Hopefully masks will not be required for outside seating. Or any other for that matter.ย

It is a good attempt for tourist railroads to try and start up, but I doubt many people (mostly old and high risk) are going to willingly want to ride a train excursion if they have to wear a mask and enter an enclosed coach.ย  People are ok doing this for public transit because they have ride the bus, train, or plane, but if the trip wasn't essential they would not be riding.ย  ย This summer will be a lost tourist season.ย
