Coincidently, the size of your images matches the locomotive number! It was used quite a bit in the couple of weeks that the NKP 765 was out there on the TP&W. I particularly remember the sound of the hooter echoing over the Illinois River bridge well after dark on the return back from La Harpe/ Keokuck. There are lots of crew stories that I need to post some day soon, so they are not lost.
What is the history of the business car on the tail end, painted in NYC Century colors? Where is it now? |
