Strasburg 90, 2019
Author: MaryMcPherson

When 611 came to the Strasburg Rail Road in 2019, we did five days of filming... a wonderful visit!  This recording was made on the first day as 2-10-0 #90 was running the daily excursion trains.  The location for this recording is roughly halfway between Groundhog Cut and Paradise Lane.

This was made with the trusty Zoom H4n, mated with an AudioTechnica AT-8022 stereo microphone in a "blimp" windproofing housing mounted on a stand about six feet high.

The photo was taken at the same time the recording was made, and between me and Kurt there were also three video cameras running.

Yeah, you never see that girl from "Frozen" during spring breakup.  I'll bet she looks a lot less perky then.

(33 degrees outside, slushy ice and the snowpack is still about 6 inches deep.  I'd be happy to let it go, just sayin'.)
