Wow they did a really nice job on it!! Hope they can keep it protected from the elements in the future.

It'll look like crap in a couple of years, unless it's under cover...
The deterioration will be rapid, especially if it's NOT  coated by Imron ( DuPont)   "paint" ....

Here's what the 4012 looked like back in June of 2010 in my only visit to Steamtown, with paint that seemed fresh at the time.

I believe who ever the contractor for that earlier paint job did a crap job all around. That’s why it needed to be redone so soon

That's correct. In no time the paint was pealing everywhere and it looked terrible, testimony to the facts that it wasn't prepped properly and ultra cheap paint was used.

  Knowing Gary Bensman as I do you can bet that his job will stand up well.  Ross Rowland

Agreed. But,,,,,,what contractor performed the first cosmetic restoration/paint job?
