Steam & Excursion > 614 Ownership Status Question for Ross

I'd like to pose a question for Ross Rowland whom I know is frequently active on this forum.  There is interest among members of the C&O Historical Society to restore 614 to its original C&O paint scheme.  SInce the Greenbrier Express project fell through, the locomotive remains in the all green scheme developed as a promotion for that project

I was wondering what the ownership status of the locomotive is at present, and to whom any request for authority to repaint the engine should be directed. Ross? Anyone else?

Art, The 614 is owned by the American Freedom Train Foundation, Inc. a 501 c 3 organization. If we are successful in obtaining the corporate co-sponsors needed to fund the AFT 2.0 project the 614 will be the " anchor " engine pulling it double headed with other mainline capable steamers. She will be converted to oil and equipped with PTC.
