Steam & Excursion > WMSR #1309 On the Move ..... 11 September 2021

The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad unveiled the finished painted #1309 as the locomotive was shoved into the Cumberland, Md station this morning.

Much to the surprise of many, the unveiling was part of Cumberland / Allegany County Heritage Day's celebration this weekend. 

Not yet 100% in service so the locomotive wasn't under steam but still added a nice addition to the nearby "Touch a Truck" display also at the Cumberland Station.

WMSR #450 provided the power for the move.

1) Coming out of the shop complex at Ridgeley while the #501 prepares the days excursion.

2) Near the crossing in Ridgeley, WV

Yup, great shots and looking a real worthwhile road (via air) trip. If the EBT wasn't enough that sure
fixes that problem.
