There Is A Certain Air Of Informality To This Steam Operation!
Author: LoggerHogger

Logging railroads operated in a more relaxed manner than their mainline counterparts.  That informality is seen here in June, 1952 as Crown Willamette Paper 2-6-6-2T #12 is switching the yards at Cathlamet, Washington.

The dispatcher for the logging railroad merely has to lean out his office window to pass on the orders for the day to the crew on the Baldwin tank Mallet.
