Steam & Excursion > UP Steam special flying through Trowbridge 1991Date: 10/13/21 10:48 UP Steam special flying through Trowbridge 1991 Author: gonx My father and I waited awhile in a farmer's field, but it was well worth it. I think they were running late from the anticipated departure time at Oroville.
UP 844 and 3985 running near Trowbridge on the former WP 2nd Sub. Train was enroute to the 1991 Sacramento Railfair. May 1991 -Lee You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! That said, one of my great regrets is not making the effort to properly prioritize seeing #3985 in operation before it was put away as videos like this one remind me how much I would prefer that experience to what #4014 is able to offer. Thanks for posting the video.

The "previous crew", i.e. Steve Lee, generally only added a diesel for dynamic brake assistance on long grades west of Cheyenne. Thus, there was no need for a diesel enroute to the Clinchfield RR, nor on the return back to Cheyenne. Great video, 30 years ago this year. Jim Baker Riverside, CA Date: 10/14/21 05:38 Re: UP Steam special flying through Trowbridge 1991 Author: Bob3985 Thanks for thje memories.
