Forty years ago today (October 17, 1981), Cuyahoga Valley Line 4070 headed south through Brecksville, Ohio. The bridge in the background is the Ohio Route 82 bridge.

Great photo Bob.  I look forward to see her under steam again.  I saw the engine in Cleveland on my last visit to Ohio in 2019 where she was sitting (dismantled) outside the roundhouse.  I read somewhere that 4070 has been moved into a newly refurbished stall.

I miss that engine and those heavyweight cars.

The cars are almost more awesome than the engine! Where on earth can you really see that many steel heavyweights being used in museum/excursion service, anymore?
Not many, if any really to speak of— wish I would’ve checked this out!
