Siegfried Buerling who founded the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in Ohio passed away on December 30 at the age of 89.

I never met Mr. Buerling, but have enjoyed riding on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad a couple of times.  Among tourist railroads, the Cuyahoga Scenic has grown into an operation with a great variety of train rides.

Condolences to his family.  May he rest in peace.
