Hi Bill.  First off something is amiss here.  765 did not the New River Trains in 1994.  That last year of steam runs was powered by Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 261.  In 1993 765 was made into a C&O engine and renumbered 2765?  Is that the one you are thinking of!  We have video available on both years, but I doubt we have the consist numbers, etc. You can see previews on our website, or on youtube.  Titles are

Yes the title does say MILW 261 which is correct.  The 765's extra tender was behind it which is what I refer to there.  I edited it adding the engine to clarify.

Not only did they use the 765's water car, but the train used the Ft. Wayne engine crew primarily.  This was at the request of CSX I was told since they had a good record with past trips.  This was the only time I saw 261 run and it was a good show.  Too bad there has been no steam there since 1994. Someone from the 261 or 765 bunch might know the answer, or someone from the Collis P Huntington chapter of the NRHS might know the answer to your consist question.

PPCX 257 is Atlantic Coast Line Tavern Lounge Observation 257 built by Budd between May, 1946 and May, 1947.  It was assigned to the Champion.  After the ACL/SCL 1967 merger the car was was renumbered SCL 5836.  Information from Wayner's Car Names, Numbers and Consists.

Just watching youtube videos will usually pin down most of the cars.

I am pretty sure the 4 cars after the Moonlight Dome were from the Orrville group.  The one with the brown stripes was a prewar ex-PRR coach, and the other you are missing the description of was called the Ohio Presidents as I recall.
