Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Streamliner Trip
Author: RailRyder

On Thursday, May 25 the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Railway ran their office car train from their headquarters at Candor, NC to Midland, NC to showcase their newly restored and painted ex-UP, Amtrak, WSOR, IPH E unit. Also in the consist were their two F units from the NS OCS as well as a handful of the ACWR's office cars.  It was quite a day!

Here are a few more shots from yesterday's trip on the AC&W. The bridge is at Hydro, NC near Norwood, NC.

Great photos and they are appreciated to be able to view them.  Thank you so much.  I wish them continued success with both their passenger trains and their freight operations.

Excellent photos, especially the bridge/dam scenes. We those of us over on the other side of the river were looking across with envy and were sure racking our brains wondering how you all were able to acess that side. :)

Anyone know if they run generators on each car or do the locos pass HEP through the consist?

I believe most of their acdtive cars have HEP capability, as do some of the units. It gives them some flexibility.

Great and interesting pics, thank you for posting. Would be fun to ride an excursion on that train. Unique paint but impressive. Plus you can’t go wrong with cab units! Thanks again.
