The dialogue at the begiining of the video was from two volunteers of the museum. The motorman was GREAT! He really cranked open the throttle and got those electric traction motors humming with that Birney car rocking down the track. This was shot by my buddy and I'm the lumpy guy in the last 5 seconds of the video. -Lee You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! that Western Pacific locomotive - perhaps a NYC Hudson? It's a shame the locomotive rarely gets captured and shared - locked away in a tight spot? SN No. 62 is gorgeous - thanks for sharing! /Mitch Date: 09/12/23 12:33 Re: SN 62 at sunset Western Railway Museum 1988 Author: nycman Date: 09/12/23 22:29 Re: SN 62 at sunset Western Railway Museum 1988 Author: Mgoldman nycman Wrote:
------------------------------------------------------- > For Mitch, from my Harold Vollrath collection. I said “Hudson”, but that’s a Northe… err, Niagara. What I meant to say, however, was Mohawk! Specifically NYC No. 3001 in Indiana. Or 2923 in St Louis! /Mitch Posted from iPhone Date: 09/13/23 12:36 Re: SN 62 at sunset Western Railway Museum 1988 Author: nycman Sorry, Mitch, I didn't even look, just assumed Hudson. I can provide a Hudson.

for any NYC Hudsons. Now, that streamlined Niagara, lol! Maybe it's a real photo, and it's in a barn - perhaps next to a pair of Alco Sharks. /Mitch Date: 09/14/23 16:40 Re: SN 62 at sunset Western Railway Museum 1988 Author: nycman Mitch, are you to TO webmaster? I seem to remember your name as such. I am having a terrible time trying to renew my membership.

My renewal was straightforward and easy. /Mitch Date: 09/15/23 14:54 Re: SN 62 at sunset Western Railway Museum 1988 Author: atsf121 Nice videos, haven’t been there since about that timeframe, need to get back there again and see what’s new.
