Don she was towed by an Amtrak diesel.

509 was put on for the usual PTC reason, but the 3751 did all the work

YES she was under steam. There is some YouTube video of 3751 moving up from Redondo, moving alone.

I can confirm this. The 509 was leading but the 3751 was doing the work to make everything move. I was standing on the newly redone 7th Street Bridge and you could hear on the scanner the conductor was “taking a shove” in the 509 and the 3751 was working.

You need a ZZZ gauge 3751 to put on the rods of your (O?, HO?) gauge model...
