Steam & Excursion > Why no coverage of Saturday's Summerville GA double header?Date: 09/18/23 08:21 Why no coverage of Saturday's Summerville GA double header? Author: LTCerny Am surprised that nobody has posted photos or videos on TO of Saturday's TVRM double header from Chattanooga TN to Summerville GA, this is a 100-mile round trip behind steam without diesel assistance and with engines forward in both directions thnks to the turntable at Summerville. The line has not seen steam in almost 4 years.

More and more photos are going straight to social media, not legacy sites such at this and others. Author: grizzledgary While understanding the marketing draw of a double header I'll still ask if I'm the only one that actually prefers a single locomotive on trips that run at a pace as leisurely as do these Summerville excursions? It would seem #4501 is capable of keeping the schedule unassisted while likely making more impressive sounds in the process. Am I missing something here or just out of touch?
