The State of New Hampshire has selected the Flying Yankee Association (FYA) to receive ownership of the Flying Yankee train, originally owned and operated by the Boston & Maine railroad.  FYA's goal is to restore the train to operation within the Mount Washington Valley area of New Hampshire.

Hope the new leadership can raise the funds and get significant volunteer help to make a go of this.   It's been 20+ years of off and on restoration work.  The hardest part of the work is raising the funds.  It's rare that great mechanics are great fund raisers.  It sounds like they are off to a good start.
