I wonder if there will be a publicly-accessible GPS feed online to track the locomotive as it makes its way from stop to stop like the UP's steam program.

There is supposed to be one. That might be released right before it leaves Calgery.

Many thanks for sharing this. I hope they will post a schedule for the Mexico segment soon. I have Mexican rail fan friends who would like to know the planned stop(s) and locations.

Thanks for sharing the current schedule!  I hope to rendezvous
with the 2916 someplace in Northern IL between Franklin Park
and the Davenport IA "event" and then chase the 2916 towards KC ...
Still somewhat nebulous as to departure times etc ... gonna be an
interesting chase adventure ... Hope they release a return schedule
as well ... whenever that may be!

I guess the local  countie mounties between Bensenville and Savanna have already been tipped about this move on May 9th. So if you are going to be chasing......better watch your speed.

And Illinois 72 is a two lane highway for most of the route. plus, from what I can determine, the parallel road pretty much ends at Harper, IL.  My plan is to pick out a few choice locations for photos then use alternate routes to get/stay ahead of the chasers.
