 A West Virginia tourist railroad plans to build a campground.
Cass Scenic Railroad State Park will add the campground, which will include 100 campsites with water and electrical connections, two bathhouses, a check-in station, an RV dump facility, and paved roads and facility.
The park already has an 11-mile heritage railroad and preserved lumber company town. The campground is part of a $13 million expansion of the park.
The campground will be located on the water at the site of the Deer Creek Extract Plant,
Construction on the $8 million campground is expected to be completed in July 2025. From the akronrrblog 
 

To clarify, Cass railroad operator DGVR is not behind this project. This is a West Virginia state government project.
