Steam & Excursion > 4014 route Thru Missouri/ArkansasDate: 08/30/24 11:05 4014 route Thru Missouri/Arkansas Author: CP8888 Where will 4014 make the switch from the former Missouri Pacific to the former St Louis Southwestern enroute to North Little Rock.
Is it Dexter Missouri?? Date: 08/30/24 12:02 Re: 4014 route Thru Missouri/Arkansas Author: MaryMcPherson Yes. The train will have to be pulled by diesel from Poplar Bluff to Dexter as there is no way it can turn south engine with 4014 leading. It will have to be pulled past the junction, the diesel cut off, and then the steam train will head south.

The 4014 will make the shove move from Poplar Bluff to Charleston Jct, Dexter with ditch light equipped Business Car leading before heading South toward Jonesboro. If there is a local crew handy, with or without cars, I may use them to help make the it interesting, if it makes sense. Looking forward to seeing everyone trackside. Thank you Ed - 307-214-3547.
