Big Boy at Big Sandy
Author: PVSfan

Big (late) show...spectacle...patriotic event—today's  4014 arrival in Big Sandy TX was all three.
Crowd at 3 PM was probably 2000 or more.   By the time it arrived it was down to 1500 or so.
Vendors and  event planners underestimated the crowd.  Vendors ran out of their wares and left
before 4014 arrived.  The town went all out in planning this event.  Kudos!
Ed Dickens and crew prresented the mayor with a UP ALL STEAM TOWN plaque--or something to that effect.

North Texas Chapter NRHS coordinated this event with its 2nd Annual 24 Hours at Big Sandy happening.
[In years past it was 24 Hours at Saginaw.]

Exchange of speeches between town officials and UP crew was followed by a prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
That's East Texas!
