2926 went to the shops this weekend. Couple car groups wanted pictures. Only the Jeep stayed tonight. But last night the Model A club had a ball.
And sunrise this morning. 
Tomorrow she will return to the barn down the main line in the afternoon.

Wow, that last shot is a knockout. 

That third shot is excellent...  It makes me think that 2626 should be protection power for Amtrak ;-)

That is one of those ideas that if you think about it at bedtime might just end up as a realistic dream while you sleep.  Amtrak shows up to Albuquerque with a broken locomotive and needs help.  2626 happens to be fired up, fully fueled, with an extra water tender and there happens to be 20 water trucks next to the station all filled up with water that are about to leave to Los Angeles for a construction project.  They all leave together towards Los Angeles at the same time.  Crazy dream, I know.

For those visiting Albuquerque, what part of town would you stay in that would be relatively safer than others?   Not to throw any shade on our New Mexico friends, but its no secret that the crime rate is elevated in much of that state.

Search Google maps for credit Union branches and reference that against a search for check cashing establishments. If there's a particular part of town with a heavier concentration of check cashing places, that's not where you wanna stay.

Was in ABQ a while back and wanted to go to the museum; couldn't find it.  Drove around about 30' and finally gave up.

What museum?  2926 is not at/in a museum, restoration site on 8th Street is open to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday 9-2 unless there is a weather issue.
