Steam & Excursion > Smoky Mountain 107Date: 01/22/25 17:07 Smoky Mountain 107 Author: dan7366 Posts on Facebook are showing that Smoky Mountain 107 (ex Southern) was removed from display in front of Dollywood today. Comments indicate that it is being moved to Knoxville for at least a cosmetic restoration. For those interested, the page "Pigeon Forge Fun" has a video of the locomotive being loaded onto a lowboy trailer.
Dan Date: 01/22/25 17:39 Re: Smoky Mountain 107 Author: ts1457 I did not know that Dollywood had an ex-Southern engine. Should be close to #154. Did Dollywood ever have it steamed or has it always been a display?

The Southern/Smoky Mountain display locomotives (originally there were two) are standard gauge and never operated at Dollywood. They had been dead at the enginehouse in Sieverville for years and were never steamed up at Dollywood.
