BM&R 2102
Author: refarkas

Some slides can end up looking like watercolor paintings! Blue Mountain and Reading 2102 and 425 are doubleheading in Leesport, Pennsylvania on June 26, 1988.

Not sure this phone is from 1982 since BM&R started operations in 1983; 425 was acquired by BM&R's Andy Muller in 1984 and 2102 in 1985. I believe this doubleheader event happened in 1988 during the BM&R Railfan Weekend of June 27 and 28.

You're right, it does look kind like a painting.

I like the photo Bob, as the Reading T-1's were some of the best 4-8-4's ever made.

Andy purchased the 2102 from Rails Diversified of Ohio in April 1986.

I like that the 425 is painted black, and neither engine appears to have the circus look of the white-wall tires.  A nice all-business look to those engines back then.
