Steam & Excursion > "The Fair Of The Iron Horse;"

I am wondering if CSX will put on a comparable display in 2027 like the B&O did in 1927?

They actually were planning to do a similar event back in 2003 in conjunction with the joint NRHS/R&LHS convention in Baltimore. If I remember correctly, CSX actually did give their support there. Unfortunately, the plans fell apart after the roundhouse roof collapse at the B&O Museum.

I was excited about that event at the time. Multiple steam locomotives were planing to be at the event including 765 if I remember correctly.

PM 1225 was also lined up to attend this celebration.
Interesting to note that it was also due to attend the 1994 opening of Steamtown but it was determined at the 11th-hour that the engine would not have fit through the Detroit River Tunnel. PM1225 was fired up and prepped for departure when word came down.

Well, the roundhouse has been repaired...
