Steam & Excursion > Status of Pere Marquette 1225?

Are the repairs to Pere Marquette1225 progressing well?  I would like to drive up to Owosso this summer to ride and photograph this amazing engine.  Here is an excerpt from the 1225’s website.
 
In 2024, the locomotive powered some summer and fall excursions until being sidelined for the rest of the season due to issues with the superheaters, necessitating diesel locomotives to haul the rest of the excursions.[18] Repairs to the locomotive are expected to start in January 2025, and be completed in time for the 2025 season of SRI's "North Pole Express.

Our goal is to return the locomotive to service by September, 2025.
The superheaters have been sent to a semi-local boiler repair shop for testing and repairs, we should see these return to Owosso in the next couple months.
While the locomotive is out of service and we wait for the superheaters to return, we are also working on a few other items such as the dynamo's, throttle, and boiler tubes and flues.
