Steam & Excursion > ORHC Plaza Project - Random PicturesDate: 05/04/25 13:48 ORHC Plaza Project - Random Pictures Author: Jsporseen I limped my way over to the ORHC yesterday and took 12 very random pictures. Here are three of them and some more may appear later if I get in the mood.
A little contest though. One of the pictures has an item missing that, in my opinion, is a crucial item in the whole project. It may be obvious to somebody but it wasn't to me until this morning when I opened my photos and looked carefully at all twelve trying to decide which three to use first. It hit me like a gentle slap in the face when I realized what was missing. I don't why it is missing but would bet that it will be back when the whole project is finished. Arlen knows the answer so I'm asking him to stay out of it. Anybody else who thinks it is worth it, try to figure out what is missing that is confusing to this old man. Keith Date: 05/04/25 17:41 Re: ORHC Plaza Project - Random Pictures Author: UP3806 How about ladders for the semaphores?
Tom Date: 05/04/25 18:14 Re: ORHC Plaza Project - Random Pictures Author: Mike6640-2 I'll try, the tracks going into the engine house.
Date: 05/04/25 18:18 Re: ORHC Plaza Project - Random Pictures Author: Jsporseen The answer to the difficult quiz: if you carefully look at picture number 2 between the Doyle McCormack enginehouse door to the newly installed fence around the turntable, there is no track. It was there and has been used numerous times as well as the main TT entry track that comes around the east side of the building. I'd bet that it needed to be taken out while pavers are being placed. Don't exactly know why but can't think of any other reason. I don't know the distance but I'm guessing around 100 feet.
Here are three more pics. Nothing special but I hope they are of interest to some. This a short section of track but very important I would think. JOHN Edited 1 time(s). Obviously there are quite a few things that need to be accomplished before Train Day next Saturday but they seem to be making amazing progress.
I'm very impressed with the look of the walkway itself. JOHN Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 05/04/25 18:28 by Jsporseen. Hopefully it would make enough money to fund the maintenance needed to keep all of the signals operating.

Being in the customer service business these sorts of interactions are something he looks out for.

And maybe a Griswold rotating stop sign grade crossing signal. Stan Praisewater Date: 05/05/25 12:58 Re: ORHC Plaza Project - Random Pictures Author: PHall Frisco1522 Wrote:

Kids aren't the problem, railfans with cameras are the problem, they'll climb anything! Date: 05/05/25 13:37 Re: ORHC Plaza Project - Random Pictures Author: Jsporseen I had one picture in there twice in the cast of nine. Why didn't anybody tell me? It is now down to a cast of 8.
