Steam & Excursion > Nickel Plated Homecoming on the Wheeling [Volume II]

Yesterday was the first time in nearly 68 years that a Nickel Plate steam locomotive has run over the Cleveland division of the Wheeling in Lake Erie District. The 765 left the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway's Brewster Yard, where it met back up with SD9 358, fresh off some fine-tuning from the Brewster Shops and several over-the-road jobs, including a few solo runs on the local. For one week in May, it's Nickel Plate country again.

Nice sound.

765 has ALMOST as sharp exhaust as 1522, Nice crack to it. She sounds good when she's angry.
First photo could be titlled "Oh no, the diesels are starting to show up"! Deja vu all over again.
