Steam & Excursion > 3985 in Bernie MODate: 01/22/04 20:52 3985 in Bernie MO Author: arkansasrailroader The train got to Bernie MO about 6 p.m., about 3 hours 'late' due to trackwork and a busy intermodal day on the line. Here's a photo at night in Bernie using a 13 second digital exposure. Everything seems to be working ok as far as I know, but I didn't talk to anyone at the train - there were hundreds waiting.

------------------------------------------------------- Yep, I was there in the 15 mph traffic from Dexter to Bernie! Took me over 40 minutes to make the 8 mile trip, plus I had to park 5 blocks away and walk to get those photos. I have several more. Oh yea, it was cold as a dead tick in the freezer! My uncle went down on Thursday PM but couldn't wait for it, so he got up early the next morning and drove the 30 or so miles from his home to see it depart. He was quite impressed!
