And 27 years later, in the Summer of 2003 in Portland at the Springwater Trails Event.
What a Mug!

This appears to be much more than an accidental shot. Any background info available?

I still cannot fathom the negative comments on this color combination. For me, it gave me the opportunity to re-shoot this fine locomotive in AFT colors. Back in 1975 when it visited Aurora, Illinois, I took some fabulous shots. Or so I thought! It was the first time (but not the last time) that my 35mm film did not catch to the take-up spool.

I was hooked then, and I'm hooked now. Thanks for the photo.

Don't know why the negative on the AFT colors either. What everyone seems to miss is the way the clean lines of the skirting adds class to any color scheme, 'thoutadoubt!

I see that Doyle has a sence of humour...he's got '99' in the train number boards.

I was in the operations dept. onboard the train for the entire year of 1976. Over the course of the journey, we would set up night shots. This night we borrowed the '9' from the opposite board. As far as I can remember, Doyle didn't know.
