And it's "pickup," the MRL 391, has a fascinating history, sent to me in photos by Keith Ardinger. She was once painted in New York Central Daylight, NYC lightning stripes with the SP daylight orange and red colors. Fascinating combination. She served in several other roles. When NYC Daylight, she was owned by none other than Doyle McCormack, who was undoubtedly running the Lady 4449 in your photo, Drew. Nice shot.

Did this engine also serve on Trancisco's abortive Sierra 49er Express? If so under what number?

Drew, the photo that Keith Ardinger sent me showed her as Transcisco 1001. Keith, where are you? I hesitate to post his photos. They are his property and very good at that.
