Steam & Excursion > Narrow Gauge Steam in Harrisburg?Date: 11/28/04 21:20 Narrow Gauge Steam in Harrisburg? Author: OnTrackEd That's right...
This 2' gauge Crown steam locomotive runs on City Island in the middle of the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg every summer on weekends. The locomotive is fired on propane, and when it isn't running, a gas 'trolley' runs instead during the week. Nice ride; worth the visit. Anything unusual? Besides the bright paint...the top of the whistle is reportedly a bed post top! -Ed Kelley Date: 11/29/04 14:33 Re: Narrow Gauge Steam in Harrisburg? Author: railfan4449 |
