Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic DT6-6-2000 7/61 Alan Miller Collection ... was this known as the 'fruit salad' scheme, or something like that?

Looks like Marquette Michigan.

I thought the "fruit salad" scheme pertained to the SAL's E units. Maybe this would qualify also!

One of these got painted in the red/white Soo Line scheme and another got the experimental Soo scheme of solid dark brown-ish red. Some fans dubbed it "The Chocolate Soldier" (from a 1894 novel (later made into an operetta), referring to a good-looking but useless warrior).

That center cab was the only red/white locomotive to receive the full roadname "SOO LINE." Everything else only carried the word "SOO" on the long hood.
