Nostalgia & History > The First Warbonnets!Date: 09/25/05 16:42 The First Warbonnets! Author: WPMan Here's a scan that I just made taken by David R. Busse of FP45 #101 at Sullivan's Curve in Cajon Pass. The date was July 5, 1989. I believe this was their maden run in the new Warbonnet paint scheme. The train was held at this location for several minutes while the company photographer, (and many other fans), recorded the event.
This photo will be used on the packaging for the Pentrex "Best of 1989" DVD that will be released soon. It's really interesting to look back at how much of the railroading scene as changed in 16 years. WPMan Date: 09/25/05 16:46 Re: The First Warbonnets! RickH Lament: If only, that image could have held it's grasp on the BNSF merger. Date: 09/26/05 21:46 Re: The First Warbonnets! Author: ProAmtrak Sad part is that those 1ST Generation Units aren't oprerable!

Date: 03/22/10 23:31 Re: The First Warbonnets! Author: SAMaase I suppose it's an interesting demonstration of how far model railroading has come. When I looked at the F7, and F3 B-unit I thought, "nice pair of Genesis F-units. Oh, wait a minute...that's the real deal!" :)
