waiting for a "nip tuck" makeover

Here is yellow bonnet #326 waiting at Cleburne in 1976 for her rebirth as a CF-7. I remember taking this picture, it's on Plus X film, but the colors were yellow, blue striping and a silver flank.

Here's AT&SF #303b awaiting the same fate as #326 at the same time, same place. As I recall, the 303b was still in red, yellow, and silver, but dirty and tired looking.

Here's Santa Fe GP-30 #3211. She was sitting at Cleburne at the same time as were the two F units, but she wasn't scheduled for a facelift.

IMHO, that yellowbonnet thing was not one of SF's better ideas.

The 326L became the third-to-last CF7 built, #2419, in March 1978. No B-units were converted to CF7's, though, so 303B is probably just being harvested before a trip to the scrapper.
