They were being wyed at Denver, CO, January 12, 1984. Plenty of manpower on the caboose platform.

Did the shade of "BN green" change throughtout the years? It seems like photos of older BN green vs. later have a different shade, or maybe it's just different / aged filmstock?
Date: 01/12/24 09:41 Re: BN Caboose 10553 with RED RIVER - 1984 Author: dan well the red river was painted in the twin cities by BN and had wax protection i think, maybe with imron? the caboose was painted by intl car co with out wax suffering UV, red river gets much more TLC, who knows if paint laws changed during the time. ?
