BN, DR&GW, and Rain

It was raining that day in 1989, just north of Palmer Lake and the action was a little too far off, so out came the 300mm CAT. It’s still not a good clean shot, but sixteen years has added a historical aspect that almost overcomes the deficient quality.

That is a good shot and a neat place to watch trains. It looks like both trains are southbound, which is unusual. The Rio Grande train is on the northbound track.

I should have added that detail. The Rio Grande SD45/SD40T–2 are the helpers on a southbound coal train.
