Don't remember the name of the siding (I'm sure someone out there will tell me) but this was railroading on the WP in the mid 70's. I do remember it was a beautiful fall morning, cold and brilliant sun. It didn't get much better than this, unless we were chasing F's through the canyon! Thought the old wobbly would last forever, but was a short 7 years later when it was sucked up by the UP.-BMT

Sorta of looks like Kramm siding, looking railroad east/geographic west, just outside of Oroville. If I'm not mistaken, there's the deep cut in the background from which many famous shots of eastbounds coming out of Oroville have been taken over the years by the likes of Ted Benson and Dale Sanders.

Good image and good "Where is it ?" Looks like Altamont or Midway to me. Gerry

Looks like a westbound in the hole at Kramm with the eastbound passing on the main line.
